Applications are open for the chance to be our next charity that we fundraise for. Please take care to fill out the form bellow as thoroughly as possible. You only need to fill it out in one language.

WHO WE HELP

Every 2 years the club holds an open call for funding applications to local charities serving women and children. From these applications club members vote on who to support with our fundraising efforts.

ANNUALLY

85% of funds raised go directly to our selected local charity

10% of funds raised go to the FAWCO Foundation and their Target Project

5% of funds raised are carried over for the next charity so they can hit the ground running

OUR CURRENT CHARITY

Based in Pinerolo with 5 branches throughout the Torino metropolitan area, SvoltaDonna is an Anti-Violence Center which helps women and their children escape violence and rebuild their lives through personalized and structured support. All services are provided free of charge.

A 24/7 toll-free phone number & emergency reception throughout the Torino metro area

SAFE HOUSING

Secure and confidential, fully-furnished emergency housing for women and their families

TRAINING

Training & specialization courses to help women take their next steps

LEGAL & PSYCH SUPPORT

Legal assistance and psychological support to help women regain independence

HOW IWCT HELPS

Our funds go directly to supporting the activities of SvoltaDonna, helping to cover the following costs:

HOUSING COSTS

The costs associated with furnishing and renting emergency housing for women and their families.

TRAINING COURSES

The costs for vital staff training, such as accredited anti-violence center operator courses & first-aid and safety certification courses.

VOLUNTEER REIMBURSMENT

The cost of reimbursing volunteers for expenses associated with on call and emergency services, such as petrol.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The costs of essential IT products and services, such as 2 PCs, their hardware, software & maintenance, as well as printer leasing.

STAFFING

The salary costs for staffing the Anti-Violence center and local branches with trained operators.

Euros for local & global charities

 

We’ve also helped local charities access external funding, such as the FAWCO FOUNDATION’s Development Grants.

In 2021 we helped Istituto Alfieri-Carrù apply for and win one such grant for $4000.
