Books Beyond  Borders meets every two months in the evenings to discuss the latest book selected.   The focus of Books Beyond Borders is fiction. Our next meetup will be on Wednesday, January 22nd at 8pm.

The book selected for this evening is “Happiness Falls”  by Angie Kim.  An extraordinary novel about a biracial Korean American family in Virginia whose lives are upended when their beloved father and husband goes missing.  A ticking-clock investigation into his whereabouts and an emotionally rich portrait of a family whose most personal secrets just might be at the heart of his disappearance. Full of shocking twists and fascinating questions of love, language, and human connection, Happiness Falls is a mystery, a family drama, and a novel of profound philosophical inquiry.

To participate in Books Beyond Borders there are only 4 rules of engagement:
1) be an existing member of IWCT
2) read the book
3) pick one or two favorite quotes from the book
4) bring a sweet or savory of your liking to the meetups, to share
